The Losing As an Art Form Series: Kuwabara, Mitani, Akari, and Isumi by midgetmnm (4 stand alone parts, gen) My favorite of the four is the first one about Kuwabara, but they're all good. All of them seem to revolve around the characters and their relationship with Shindo and how they view losing. Hence the titles. (duh!)

This Thing That is Me by Enishi (WIP, gen, AU) Incomplete for now, but the point that it ends at is not too cliffhanger-y as to induce too much frustration. The concept is interesting though and the writing is good, so give it a shot and bug the author to write more!

Not a Pretty Girl by aishuu (complete, slight het and shounen-ai) Part of Aishuu's Tsumego one-shots. Not a Pretty Girl focuses on Koneko, the third girl member of Akari's go team. Like all of Aishuu's other fics, much fangirl lovin'. Koneko is fleshed out and given believable backstory to go with her insight into the other characters. Read!

There weren’t any pleasant euphemisms with Tokiko-obaasan... she called a spade a spade, and a fat girl a fat girl.

Shindorella by Rhoe (shounen-ai, WIP, humor) As you can tell from the title, this is a fusion of HnG and Cinderella. Very giggle worthy and worth reading.

marici's Odd Statements about HnG and her fic based on Odd Statements (yaoi, one-shots) Very interesting interpretations on Sai and Hikaru. I like how she works off these different versions of the characters and makes it entirely plausible. Unfortunately her fics are friends locked, but if you comment on one of her posts, she'll add you.

-Because he grew up constantly accompanied by a person he couldn't appear to be talking to, Hikaru has very unusual body language and sense of personal space.

-Unlike most players, Hikaru likes playing with an audience, even for his casual games. It's a good trait in a teacher, so more restless players like Waya sometimes ask why he never complains about having people breathing down his neck.


Question of the post: Does anyone know if there are any other common places that people post HnG fics besides ff.net, Jumpy Boys!, igo_yaoi, or the Go Luv forum? I'm in serious withdrawal.
