Silence is Easy by Cynique (oneshot, shounen-ai, AkiHika) A less fluffy look at the whole confession scene between Hikaru and Touya told from Hikaru's point of view. I liked how in character Hikaru sounded, a confused boy who's just been given something to think about that he's not ready for.

While You Were Away by

issen4 (oneshot, gen, Hikaru, Akira) Summary: Touya's clothes are not his strong point. What I really love about this fic, besides my obvious amusement at bashing Touya's wardrobe, is Hikaru's way of remembering where all the clothing went. It's just so Hikaru and while not being crack per se, it's still builds upon the Hikago philosophy that go is a way of life and there can never be a situation that cannot be made better through go.

Heat by

thehoyden (oneshot, yaoi AkiHika) What do we need in Hikago? PWPs? Well, this one is a scorcher. I really admire authors like

thehoyden who can bring sex into the equation and still make the characters believable. Hikago is such an intellectual fandom having more to do with the essence of the game rather than most sports manga that well done sex scenes make me so satisfied and content. Lol, just go read it.

After all, if they're going to be sweaty, it should at least be for a good reason. And the third way to get things out of Touya is to screw him senseless, and Hikaru's sensing that's not at all a bad alternative.

Blossoming by

thehoyden (oneshot, shounen-ai, AkiHika) Hikaru is invited to a cherry blossom watching with Touya and the the family. This fic has everything: snarky Ogata, slightly messed up Touya parents, and the budding relationship between Hikaru and Akira. Both cute and funny, I loved the author's work.

Precipitation by

karabana (oneshot, slight AkiHika) Dude,

karabana takes two of my favorite fandoms, Hikago and Spirited Away and mixes them up into a wonderful, beautiful fic. Hikaru watches the movie Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi i.e. Spirited Away and asks Akira if he has ever seen the movie, and Touya's answer is the obvious "no". I love how

karabana uses water metaphors, which are a big part of Spirited Away and ties them into Hikago. The details and the storytelling are just perfect and I loved the parallel between Haku and Akira, not just for their looks, but for their spirits.

Touya's eyes, wet like the sky is crying, are thick with blue and green mist, calm fog shrouding sharp rocks.

Conditioning by

karabana (oneshot, shounen-ai, AkiHika) Hikaru, Akira, Waya, and Isumi are crammed into a hotel room for a go conference. Cheapskates, those go organizers, huh? Sorry, I digress. This fic is a lovely look Akira and Hikaru';s comfort zone and how attuned they are to each other. At least to me it show how much more than rivals the two treat each other up to the point where they can tell the mood of the other where most people wouldn't even be able to tell that anything is wrong. Another lovely fic, and

karabana goes onto my to-be-stalked list.

Rumor Mill by

harukami (onehsot, AkiHika, humor) Okay, I already stalk

harukami for his/her RoyEd FMA fics, right? What's to stop me from loving his/her Hikago. Nothing. In Rumor Mill Hikaru hears that there are rumors circulating that he's in a relationship with Touya Akira. The horror. At least to Hikaru's mind. Everyone else just seems to to take it in stride. Nice, and long, and satisfying, I'm gonna just point everyone over to go read this fic. Don't even bother reading anything else I might have to say about it. Except the quote.

Hikaru groaned, dropping the pillow on his face; maybe he could just smother himself with it. It wasn't that it should matter; okay, so some random people thought he was gay. Gay with Touya Akira.

It didn't mean that he was.

untitled Valentine's fic by

hebiserpens (oneshot, yaoi, AkiHika) Hmmm, on second read through, less with the go, more with the sex. But it's an interesting start for an author in the Hikago fandom.

Nigiri by

hebiserpens (oneshot, AkiHika) Another interesting piece, a look into Touya and Hikaru after Hikaru buys himself a camera. I'm going to keep an eye on this author and see how his/her other Hikago fanfics come out.

Mr. Dress Up by

flonnebonne (oneshot, gen, humor) Touya shows up at the Go institute on a dare from Hikaru. He looks different. Eeee! I love

flonnebonne's stuff, and I just have to say that I have a sick mind for what I can conjure up for Touya rather than the author. Short and amusing, you all should go heap reviews onto the author and just ignore me.

And after writing out these recs, I've realized that everyone has probably already read these fics and left feedback. I am a bad fangirl. *le sigh*
