A Temporal Progression by Ju cee orangensaft (oneshot, shounen-ai, Ogata Ashiwara) A wonderful, beautiful story about the courtship between Ogata and Ashiwara. Ju does this couple so well, and this story really illustrates this. It's sweet and lighthearted, bringing a budding relationship between the two to light that you feel while you're reading that you're falling a little in love at the same time.

From the beginning of A Temporal Progression:
He is sixteen when you meet him. That day, you ring the doorbell, say hello to Akiko-san, walk into Touya-sensei's study room and sit down in your usual place with a cigarette in your hand, and everything is normal. Then the unfamiliar head of dark curly hair lifts and he gives you a blindingly bright smile, and you can feel your stomach drop, like on a fifty-storey elevator that descends too quickly.

Not Just A River In Egypt by Ju cee orangensaft (oneshot, yaoi, AkiHika) Hikaru and Akira are in a relationship, but there seems to be some conflict between the two. What do I like about this fic? Here Ju is being more real and harsh with her/his interpretation of Hikaru and Akira, which is a nice change. There's an impact from this fic.

Of Hair and Obsessions by Ju cee orangensaft (oneshot, shounen-ai, AkiHika) A cute, slice of life fic between Hikaru and Akira.

One is One is One by nopejr (ficlet, gen, Hikaru, Akira) originally recced by issen4 A look at Hikaru and Touya. A nice comparison piece that flows nicely to show how they contrast, but are still the same.

Hikaru no Golf by nopejr (oneshot, gen, Hikaru, Akira, Kuwabara) also stolen from issen4 Wirtten for the "A Picture is Worth 1000 Words" challenge with marvelous interaction between Hikaru and Akira and Hikaru and Kuwabara. The characters are snarky while still keeping in character, so it's just giggle worhy while still being a good Hikaru no Go fic. Definitely worth a look.

Connections 1/2, 2/2, and Payment: "Connections" side story by lady_addiction (series, complete, crossover with XXXHolic) Hikaru meets Watanuki from XXXHolic and finds a listening ear. Having only read the frist two volumes of XXXHolic, I really liked how lady_addiction wrote Watanuki and his wackiness, being the slave/errand boy for Yuuko. Actually, the crossover works fairly well, mixing in the limited paranormal of Hikago with the more out there situations involved with Yuuko's wish granting services. I like the episodic feeling of this fic too, there's a definite adventure feel to it, which is not very prevalent in Hikago, so more is always a treat.

"Do, do you play Igo then?" Watanuki asked awkwardly. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see people looking towards them but he ignored them.

The boy straightened up and Watanuki found out that the stranger was a head taller. "Oh yeah, I love it! The feel of the stones, the sound it makes when it hits the board, the universe right under your fingertips..." Watanuki blinked, a little surprised that this boy who looked more at home in an arcade could speak so passionately about a dull strategy game. His reaction did not go unnoticed as the other boy flashed him with a sly grin. "Not a Go fan, then?"

The Losers Circle and the The Losers Circle: Crack version by flonnebonne (oneshot, shounen-ai) The Losers Circle is a nice look into Waya as a person and his place in the go world as a player who is being overshadowed by the other prodigies. I like her Waya, he's sympathetic and doesn't seem too brash like characterizations of Waya that I've seen. The Crack version, however is pure genius. I'm really impressed how flonnebonne was able to incorporate the cracked out scenes into her main story and change it in such a way as to promote the humor of the situation. Very giggle worthy.

Not nearly enough though, there's at least a month and a half of back log that I need to go through. :( But there shoud be more Hikago coming eventually. Sorry for not commenting at your journal, but I get really embarassed commenting late to someone's story posts. *Green scratches her head and ponders* I'm not sure why, but oh well.
